Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar Performed 6 Cancer Operations
Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar, medical director of Galaxy Care Hospital, was invited to perform Cancer operations at BJP’s week-long mega health camp. Workers of Bharatiya Janata Party from South-West Assembly Constituency held a week-long mega health camp to mark the birthday of Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Surface Transport, in which around 30,000 patients took benefit.
Around 18,000 patients took benefit of X-ray, CT Scan, MRR, EMG, EGC and other facilities on a concluding day on May 27. Prominent Surgeons from Mumbai and Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar who is the medical director of Galaxy Care Hospital from Pune specially came here to undertake operations in needy cases. Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister, honoured the whole team of doctors by presenting them mementos in appreciation of their services.
After examination of the patients, doctors decided to conduct 1130 operations, including 550 eyes, 28 heart, 222 arthritis, 120 uro and 210 general surgeries. All these surgeries would be done by the doctors coming from Mumbai and Pune. Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar, Pune, conducted 6 Cancer operations while other operations are being conducted.
