The what, when and how of India's first set of womb transplants

India is going to see the first womb transplant soon. The rare surgery will be performed at Galaxy Care Hospital from Pune. After investigating the facilities at Galaxy Care Hospital, get a license from the state's directorate of health services for 5 years. Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar, medical director and onco surgeon at Galaxy Care Hospital and his team will be performing these surgeries on three women. While speaking with Mid-day news, Dr. Shailesh shared his views about the procedure, donors, recipients and the preparations for these transplants.
